Racing and Gaming Commission Suspends License of Dubuque Veternarian

A DUBUQUE GREYHOUND PARK VETERINARIAN AND HIS ASSISTANT HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FOR FOUR MONTHS, STARTING NEXT RACING SEASON.

THE IOWA RACING AND GAMING COMMISSION LAST ORDERING THE OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES OF VETERINARIAN JOHN HAUPERT AND HIS ASSISTANT ANNE PREGLER TO BE SUSPENDED FROM APRIL 1 THROUGH AUG. 1.

HAUPERT DECLINED TO COMMENT AND A PHONE NUMBER FOR PREGLER COULD NOT BE FOUND.  THE COMMISSION SAYS PREGLER WAS NOT ALLOWED TO ADMINISTER VACCINATIONS TO GREYHOUNDS WITHOUT HAUPERT PRESENT, BUT THAT SHE GAVE THE DOGS NEARLY 100 VACCINATIONS WHILE HAUPERT WAS ON VACATION THIS SUMMER.
