5 CITIES IN IOWA, INCLUDING CEDAR RAPIDS, RANK HIGH ON LIVABILITY.COM'S TOP 100 BEST PLAES TO LIVE LIST, WHICH CAME OUT THIS WEEK.  CEDAR RAPIDS MAY HAVE AN INFLUX IN POPULATION SOON SINCE BEING TABBED AS IOWA'S BEST PLACE TO LIVE.  IN FACT, CEDAR RAPIDS IS RANKED 29TH NATIONWIDE BASED ON CRITERIA SUCH AS AMENITIES, DEMOGRAPHICS, EDUCATION, HEALTH CARE, TRANSPORTATION AND HOUSING. THE WEBITE LIVABILITY.COM PARTNERED UP WITH THE PROSPERITY INSTITUTE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO'S ROTMAN SCHOOL OF MANAGMENT TO COME UP WITH THE LIST. NUMBER ONE NATIONWIDE--PALO ALTO CALIFORNIA.  NUMBER 2 AND 3 WERE SIMILAR COLLEGE TOWNS-- BOULDER, COLORADO, AND BERKELY CALIFORNIA. IOWA MADE A BIG STANDING, HOWEVER, IN THE TOP 100 OVER-ALL RESULTS.  THE CITY OF AMES WAS RIGHT BEHIND CEDAR RAPIDS ON THE LIST AT 31ST, IOWA CITY IS 46TH, DES MOINES, 69TH, AND WEST DES MOINES COMING IN AT 76TH.
